AfPIF 2026

The African IXP Association (AFIX) will hold the 15th annual African Peering & Interconnection Forum at the Kigali Marriott Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda from August 18-20 in partnership with the Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA).

The African Peering & Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) is an annual Internet industry conference that seeks to address Africa’s unique challenges and opportunities:

  • Non-profit community event launched in 2010 to promote regional Internet ecosystem development and autonomy.

  • Hosted in 13 cities: Nairobi, Lagos, Johannesburg, Kinshasa, Kigali, Abidjan, Accra, Dar es Salaam, Dakar, Casablanca, Cape Town, Maputo, and Mauritius.

  • Attracts 300-500 attendees from the local, regional, and global Internet industry for three days.

  • Attendees represent data center, content, interconnection, transit, transport, access, fibre, hardware, research, and policy.

  • Promotes market awareness with informative and contextually relevant presentations from industry and community leaders.

  • Facilitates interaction through social events, bilateral meetings, and an online platform.

  • Builds capacity via fellowships and workshops in collaboration with partners and sponsors
